Combining the time-tested curriculum of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation with the passion of Harley-Davidson, the Rider's Edge® New Rider Course offers hands-on instruction and real road experience that can teach you the skills you need to get the most out of riding.
- A proven blend of classroom instruction and range riding, the Rider's Edge New Rider Course delivers the basics of motorcycle operation in Harley-Davidson style.
- You’ll learn from devoted instructors certified by both the Motorcycle Safety Foundation® (MSF) and Harley-Davidson to create a relaxed, supportive environment that fosters camaraderie and confidence.
- And after passing a written and riding skills evaluation, you'll receive an MSF RiderCourseSM
Completion Card that could exempt you from the written and/or riding portion of the motorcycle license test, as well as possibly qualify you for discounts on insurance. But more than that, you'll begin a journey that lasts a lifetime.
REQUIREMENTS
For this course, you will need:
-To know how to ride a bicycle
-A valid automobile driver’s license or learner’s permit
-Jeans, sturdy-over -the ankle boots or shoes, full-fingered motorcycle gloves, a heavy long-sleeved shirt or jacket and protective eyewear
-A helmet that meets DOT specifications (if you need to borrow a helmet let us know!)
Your Ride:
The motorcycle you will be using is a 492cc Buell® Blast®, a light, easy to handle sportbike with a rider- friendly design that will have you feeling in control and relaxed.
Fee:
The NEW RIDER COURSE cost $299.00 per person, which includes the use of a Buell Blast, use of a helmet that meets DOT requirements, special discounts on certain products throughout the dealership during your class, and a Class Reunion Event at the end of the season that entitles you to excellent discounts and fun with your new fellow riders!
Schedule:
The course is held over 4 days. All sessions are mandatory, so make sure the course fits to your schedule.

Thursday- 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Friday- 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday- 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday- 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Several years ago, my husband and I bought our first motorcycle. We truly enjoyed riding two-up, and as a matter of fact, we still take a ride now and then two-up! But, I started to think about how much I didn't understand all the driver of the bike had to endure when riding.
What would I do in case something happened to my driver?
In April 2006, my daughter and I signed up for the Rider’s Edge
class through Greeley H-D. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!!! Ladies, this class was the BEST! It set me free and gave me an experience that changed my life.
The class had just 6 riders - nice and small. Most other classes through other dealerships are 12 in size. The class is progressive, informative, empowering and the instructors are awesome! The class builds a foundation for you to learn how to ride and enjoy the open road. If I can ever encourage any lady to do anything for HERSELF... take the class!
I purchased my own bike April 12, 2006. To date, I have put on over 2000 miles of open road, fun and freedom! I hope to see all of you at some time riding and enjoying the freedom of driving your own bike! And remember: you don't have to give up the riding two-up, but there are some times when you like to see the road from a different angle - being the leader! |
